AZ hosts Manchester United

AZ hosts Manchester United at the Cars Jeans Stadion in Den Haag in a match from Group L of Europa League.

AZ are seeking their first win in the competition for this season, although it’s not going to be easy against Manchester United, of course. In the first round of the group phase AZ travelled to the Serbian capital Belgrade in order to face Partizan. The Dutch side won a point after a 2-2 draw, despite of the red card which the Norwegian right back Jonas Svensson recieved after just 27 minutes of playing.

Calvin Stengs and Myron Boadu scored for the visitors, while Partizan didn’t find a way to use the advantage to play with a man more on the pitch.

Manchester United are the current leader in this group. Two weeks ago the Red Devils hosted Kazakhstan’s champion Astana at the Old Trafford, enjoying a 1-0 win. The hosts had to wait until the 73 minute in order to score a winner. It was the teenager Mason Greenwood, who put the ball in the net after an assist from Fred. Greenwood played the whole 90 minutes for United, proving once again that he’s one of the club’s brightest talents at the moment.

Just few days ago Manchester United had a Premier League derby against Arsenal at the Theatre of Dreams. Scott McTominay opened the score for the Red Devils, but the Gunners secured a point after an equalising goal from Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

It’d be curious to see what kind of a line-up the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will choose for the visit to the Netherlands. We expect that many youngsters will find a place in the starting eleven once again. Mason Greenwood entered the pitch as a substitute against Arsenal, but against AZ it’s a perfect chance for him to start.

We think that AZ and Manchester United will offer us a very competitive game in Europa League, so be careful with your picks here. We wish you good luck.
