Everton find themselves at 5th place in the Premier League standings with 23 points won so far. The Toffees had some period of inconsistency, but they won their last two games in the league against Chelsea and Leicester City. This allowed them to climb to 5th place in the standings and move just one point behind the 4th Leicester.

On Wednesday Everton had a tough visit to Leicester City at the King Power, but they managed to win. Richarlison and Mason Holgate scored for Carlo Ancelotti’s team during the two halves of the game. It seems that the Italian manager is once again starting to find the right approach to his players. Everton had some really difficult moments after the strong start of the season, but now they are looking like themselves again.

Arsenal are a club in crisis. The Gunners have won just four times since the beginning of the campaign and they are now 15th in the standings with 14 points won. For a last time Arsenal won in the first day of November against Manchester United at the Old Trafford. Since then the Gunners are winless.

On Wednesday Arsenal again didn’t win. Mikel Arteta’s team hosted Southampton at the Emirates, but only got a point with a 1-1 draw. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the hosts’ only goal in the game.

The manager Mikel Arteta is under some serious pressure at the moment. The Spanish coach could be sacked if he doesn’t find a way to fix his team’s performances.
