Juventus – Atalanta

Juventus – Atalanta

We are heading to the Allianz Stadium where Juventus hosts Atalanta in a match from the Serie A. This is a game from the 19th round of the competition. Let’s take a look in our preview.

Juventus return in the Serie A after the horrific 1-5 loss against Napoli last weekend. The Bianconeri had the chance to move closer to the leader but they conceded five goals instead. Angel Di Maria scored for Juve, but Napoli were better in every aspect of the game.

The head coach Massmiliano Allegri could make some changes in the line-up now. Moise Kean is an option for the attack while Leandro Paredes could start in midfield. Fabio Miretti is another option the manager could pick from his bench.

What Allegri must do now is bring back the confidence in his squad. For Juventus it was very difficult to accept such a defeat. The Old Lady is now third in the standings with 37 points – 10 points behind Napoli.

Atalanta on the other hand scored 13 goals in their last two matches – 8 against Salernitana in the Serie A and 5 against Spezia for the Coppa Italia. It comes to show us that La Dea are in a pretty good shape at the moment. They are going to be a difficult opponent for Juventus.

The Nigerian international Ademola Lookman is having a pretty good season so far. The African striker has scored 9 Serie A goals – more than any other player in the squad. He’s one of the weapons in Gian Piero Gasperini’s arsenal – no wonder Atalanta score so many goals in their matches.

That’s the preview for the Serie A clash between Juventus and Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday. Can Juve bounce back after what’s happened against Napoli? Or maybe Atalanta will prove they are in an excellent shape?

Crotone – Juventus

The reigning champion of Serie A Juventus will have only winning in mind when they visit the newcomers Crotone in a match from the 4th round of the competition. This is a great moment to preview this fixture. Let’s get to work.

With 7 points won from three rounds, Juventus are currently 4th in the Serie A standings. The Bianconeri are just two points behind the leaders Atalanta and AC Milan, so they could easily reduce this gap in the remaining of the campaign. It’s not a secret that Juve remain the main favourites for winning the Serie A again. But this season could be a little bit more difficult for them.

Coronavirus is Andrea Pirlo’s biggest enemy right now. Because of COVID-19 two of his players are going to miss the next game and one of them is Cristiano Ronaldo. The other one is the young American midfielder Weston McKennie. These two players can’t be used against Crotone.

With Ronaldo’s absence most likely Pirlo is going to use the new signing Federico Chiesa in attack. The Italian international is ready to impress after his arrival from Fiorentina.

Crotone are in a difficult situation from the start of the season. The newcomers are at bottom of the Serie A standings with 0 points won so far. It seems that Crotone are going to be one of the major contenders for relegations in the 2020/21 season. We didn’t expect anything different, though. We are not surprised.

That’s our preview for the Serie A fixture between Crotone and Juventus on Saturday. Even without Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus remain a much bigger force than Crotone. We’d be surprised if the Bianconeri have any problems to take the three points here. Cristiano Ronaldo and McKennie will be missed, but Andrea Pirlo has enough players to replace them with.
