Juventus – Atalanta

Juventus – Atalanta

We are heading to the Allianz Stadium where Juventus hosts Atalanta in a match from the Serie A. This is a game from the 19th round of the competition. Let’s take a look in our preview.

Juventus return in the Serie A after the horrific 1-5 loss against Napoli last weekend. The Bianconeri had the chance to move closer to the leader but they conceded five goals instead. Angel Di Maria scored for Juve, but Napoli were better in every aspect of the game.

The head coach Massmiliano Allegri could make some changes in the line-up now. Moise Kean is an option for the attack while Leandro Paredes could start in midfield. Fabio Miretti is another option the manager could pick from his bench.

What Allegri must do now is bring back the confidence in his squad. For Juventus it was very difficult to accept such a defeat. The Old Lady is now third in the standings with 37 points – 10 points behind Napoli.

Atalanta on the other hand scored 13 goals in their last two matches – 8 against Salernitana in the Serie A and 5 against Spezia for the Coppa Italia. It comes to show us that La Dea are in a pretty good shape at the moment. They are going to be a difficult opponent for Juventus.

The Nigerian international Ademola Lookman is having a pretty good season so far. The African striker has scored 9 Serie A goals – more than any other player in the squad. He’s one of the weapons in Gian Piero Gasperini’s arsenal – no wonder Atalanta score so many goals in their matches.

That’s the preview for the Serie A clash between Juventus and Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday. Can Juve bounce back after what’s happened against Napoli? Or maybe Atalanta will prove they are in an excellent shape?

Crotone – Juventus

The reigning champion of Serie A Juventus will have only winning in mind when they visit the newcomers Crotone in a match from the 4th round of the competition. This is a great moment to preview this fixture. Let’s get to work.

With 7 points won from three rounds, Juventus are currently 4th in the Serie A standings. The Bianconeri are just two points behind the leaders Atalanta and AC Milan, so they could easily reduce this gap in the remaining of the campaign. It’s not a secret that Juve remain the main favourites for winning the Serie A again. But this season could be a little bit more difficult for them.

Coronavirus is Andrea Pirlo’s biggest enemy right now. Because of COVID-19 two of his players are going to miss the next game and one of them is Cristiano Ronaldo. The other one is the young American midfielder Weston McKennie. These two players can’t be used against Crotone.

With Ronaldo’s absence most likely Pirlo is going to use the new signing Federico Chiesa in attack. The Italian international is ready to impress after his arrival from Fiorentina.

Crotone are in a difficult situation from the start of the season. The newcomers are at bottom of the Serie A standings with 0 points won so far. It seems that Crotone are going to be one of the major contenders for relegations in the 2020/21 season. We didn’t expect anything different, though. We are not surprised.

That’s our preview for the Serie A fixture between Crotone and Juventus on Saturday. Even without Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus remain a much bigger force than Crotone. We’d be surprised if the Bianconeri have any problems to take the three points here. Cristiano Ronaldo and McKennie will be missed, but Andrea Pirlo has enough players to replace them with.

Roma – Inter Milan

Roma – Inter Milan

Roma and Inter Milan are ready to offer us a great derby at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. These two teams face each other in a fixture from the 34th round of the Serie A. Let’s take a good look at it.

After some awful period of negative results Roma finally started showing their true face again. The Wolves are in a run of three consecutive wins in the Serie A which is the reason why they got able to climb back to 5th place in the league. Most likely they won’t qualify for the Champions League as they are 12 points behind Lazio, but it’s still some improvement from them.

In the previous round Roma enjoyed their 17th win for the season. Paulo Fonseca’s team hosted Hellas Verona at home and celebrated a 2-1 win. Jordan Veretout opened the score from a penalty kick while Edin Dzeko doubled their lead in the end of the first half. This the Roma all of the fans want to see – a team which wins its games.

Inter Milan got back to second place in the Serie A after a win against SPAL in their previous game. The Nerazzurri were merciless at the Paolo Mazza winning the match with 4-0. It was not surprising as SPAL are currently the weakest team in the Serie A. Four different players scored for Inter. Antonio Candreva opened the score for the visitors while Biraghi, Alexis and Gagliardini scored in the second half.

Usually we see some good games between Roma and Inter Milan, so we are hopeful for a good spectacle at the Olimpico on Sunday. Both sides are in a winning form right now which makes this derby even more interesting. Inter are the team which do a better job this season, but Roma are in a run of three consecutive wins.

Lazio – Napoli

Lazio – Napoli

Lazio hosts Napoli in a derby match from the 19th week of the Serie A.

Despite of having a game in hand, Lazio are currently third in the league with 39 points, just 6 points behind the leaders Inter Milan and Juventus. This means that although some pundits don’t actually agree, we can call the Eagles a title contender at the moment. Because if they win their postponed game, they could be just three points behind the first place.

And just look at Lazio’s current form, because it’s impressive – five wins in their last five games in the Serie A. Few days ago Simone Inzaghi’s team visited Brescia at the Stadio Rigamonti and won a difficult, but important 2-1 win. Ciro Immobile was the hero of the day, scoring both goals for Lazio. Immobile is also leading the Serie A goalscoring chart with 19 goals scored so far.

Last summer Simone Inzaghi could have been sacked after a dissapointing season, but the board chose to keep him, which happened to be a great decision.

Napoli are living a new life now after the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti and the appointment of Gennaro Gattuso. The problem is that with Gattuso Napoli lost two of their last three games in the league.

Few days ago the Azzurri hosted Inter MIlan at the San Paolo, but got beaten with 1-3. The Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik scored the hosts’ only goal in the match, but Napoli got outperformed on this day. Gattuso once again left the summer signing Hirving Lozano on the bench, which is looking like a strange decision to pundits and fans. Right now he prefers to use Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon on the wings.

Against a shaky Napoli, Lazio look like a favourite to win the three points. Inzaghi’s team is in a terrific form, while we can’t say the same about their next opponent.

Fiorentina – Inter

Fiorentina welcomes Inter in a match from the 25th round of the Serie A. These are our thoughts about this clash at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in the beautiful city of Florence. Let’s go.

Right now Fiorentina are 8th in the Serie A standings with 35 points. They have a record of 8 wins, 11 draws and 5 losses. In their last five matches La Viola are unbeaten, though – two wins and three draws. They will try to continue like this against Inter as well.

Fiorentina’s last game in league ended with a win. Stefano Pioli’s team achieved a big 4-1 win during the visit to SPAL. Andrea Petagna opened the score for the home team, but the visitors turned the game around with goals from Edimilson Fernandes, Jordan Veretout, Giovanni Simeone and Gerson. It was a very good win for Fiorentina.

Inter are 3rd in the Serie A with 46 points won so far. At this moment the Nerazzurri have just 1 point advantage in front of the 4th Milan, but also a game in hand. Inter’s record in the league goes like this: 14 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses.

Inter won their last two games in the league. After the win against Parma at the Ennio Tardini, Luciano Spalletti’s boys beat Sampdoria as well. The game at the San Siro ended with a 2-1 win for the Nerazzurri. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Radja Nainggolan scored for Inter.

During the week Inter officially reached the Europa League 1/8-finals, enjoying a 4-0 win against Rapid Wien at home. Matias Vecino, Andrea Ranocchia, Ivan Perisic and Matteo Politano scored for the winning team.

That’s what we had to say about the Serie A game between Fiorentina and Inter on Sunday. It shall be a pretty good clash at the Artemio Franchi.
