Sevilla – Inter Milan

Sevilla – Inter Milan

The Europa League will have a new champion after just a few days. Sevilla and Inter Milan will face each other in Koln and one of them will lift the important trophy. But which one? Let’s preview it.

Sevilla will try to cement their place as the most successful club in the history of Europa League. So far Los Rojiblancos have won the trophy five times which is impressive. Just few days ago the Spaniards eliminated Manchester United from the competition, showing everyone how good they are.

It was not an easy game against United. The Red Devils opened the score after just 9 minutes of playing, but Suso equalised for Julen Lopetegui’s team. The conclusion came at the end of the game. Jesus Navas crossed the ball in the penalty area where Luuk de Jong headed it past David De Gea. It was a memorable night for Sevilla despite the lack of fans at the stands.

Lopetegui took some interesting decisions. He left Munir and Luuk de Jong on the bench opting to the trio Ocampos – En-Nesyri-Suso in attack. On Friday the manager will have to take some difficult decisions again.

Inter Milan made a huge statement on Monday when they crushed Shakhtar Donetsk with 5-0 in the other 1/2-final. The Nerazzurri’s deadly duo Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez scored four of the goals while Danilo D’Ambrosio also put the ball in the net. It was one of Inter’s best games in Europe for the season.

Inter Milan’s manager Antonio Conte is aiming to win his first European trophy in his career as a head coach. The same could be said about Sevilla’s Julen Lopetegui as well. We expect a terrific tactical duel between these two managers.

Be sure to watch the Europa League final between Sevilla and Inter Milan on Friday. Two great teams are facing each other, so we expect some fireworks there.

Sevilla – Roma

Sevilla – Roma

Sevilla versus Roma is the big derby of the Europa League 1/8-finals. On Thursday these two teams will face each other in the first leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Which one is going to get an advantage before the second leg? We shall watch and see.

Sevilla are always playing with the confidence of being Europa League’s most successful team ever. Los Rojiblancos already qualified for the next edition of the Champions League, but you should not have any doubts that they will try to win Europa League again. The manager Julen Lopetegui is looking for his first trophy with the club and the players are hungry for trophies as well.

In the previous round Sevilla eliminated Romania’s CFR Cluj, but they didn’t shine in the way we expected of them. Lopetegui’s team didn’t win neither one of these two matches against the Romanians, but went through after two draws. At the same time you should not underrestimate Sevilla – they remain one of the strongest teams in Spain and one of the big favourites for the Europa League trophy.

Roma reached the 1/8-finals after eliminating the Belgian side Gent. For Roma it would be important to win Europa League. The Wolves finished 5th in the Serie A, so winning this competition would be their only chance of playing in the Champions League next season. The manager Paulo Fonseca and his players are perfectly aware with this, so we believe they will make an effort to do it.

In conclusion we can say that we expect a pretty great game between Sevilla and Roma. It’s pity that there won’t be fans at the stands because it’s a match which deserves attention from the public. The result in the first leg could be really important for the whole tie. We expect to see some goals at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
