Chelsea – Tottenham Hotspur

Chelsea hosts Tottenham Hotspur at the Stamford Bridge in a really nice London derby from the 10th round of the Premier League. Let’s give it a good look in our preview.

Two contenders for the Premier League title are facing each other. At this moment just two points separate them in the standings. Tottenham are leaders with 20 points while Chelsea are third with 18 points. Depending on some other results Chelsea would even top the league if they beat Spurs on Sunday.

Three wins in their last three matches – this is Chelsea’s solid shape in the Prem lately. Last weekend Frank Lampard’s team had a visit to Newcastle United which they won 2-0. Newcastle’s Fernandez scored himself an early own goal while in the 65th minute Tammy Abraham scored a second one for the Blues. It was a good game for Lampard’s team.

During the week Chelsea claimed another win, but in the Champions League. The Blues faced Rennes in France and acheived a 2-1 win.

Tottenham Hotspur are leaders in the Premier League with 20 points won so far. They are on par with the champion Liverpool, but a better goal difference puts them on top.

Last weekend Spurs faced Manchester City at home and reminded us how good they are with a 2-0 win. Son Heung-Min and Giovani Lo Celso scored for Jose Mourinho’s team.

During the week Tottenham recorded their 5th consecutive win in all competitions. The Londoners faced Ludogorets in Europa League and didn’t have any problems to take a 4-0 win. Carlos Vinicius scored twice for Tottenham while Winks and Lucas Moura scored as well.

Manchester United – Chelsea

Manchester United – Chelsea

Manchester United hosts Chelsea at the Old Trafford in a match from the 6th round of the Premier League. Here is our thoughts about this derby fixture at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday.

Manchester United approach the 6th round from 15th place in the standings, so certainly they have a lot to work on at the moment. The Red Devils have just 6 points won from four matches played and there’s a huge room for improvement at the moment.

During the week Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team achieved an amazing win to boost its confidence. Manchester United faced PSG in the Champions League and went home with a terrific 2-1 win at the Parc des Princes. Bruno Fernandes from a penalty kick and Marcus Rashford scored for the English side.

Everybody is talking about Axel Tuanzebe’s performance against PSG. The 22-years old defender played 90 minutes against PSG and made an amazing impression with his capabilities. Most surely he’s going to start the next game as well.

Chelsea also had a Champions League game during the week, but they didn’t win it. The Blues hosted Europa League winners Sevilla at the Stamford Bridge, but they game ended with no goals – 0-0. Chelsea had some chances to score a winner, but the Spanish side defended well.

Frank Lampard could be making some changes for Chelsea’s next game. Players like Hakim Ziyech, Mateo Kovacic, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi all started from the bench against the Spaniards, but they could be in the line-up for the next game.

Manchester United and Chelsea are usually giving us some great matches, so we don’t have any doubts we are going to see one at the Old Trafford. The Red Devils’ performance in the Champions League was better, but Chelsea didn’t lose their game as well. It’s going to be a great one.
